My Structural Analysis class at Dartmouth built a tree house. I was a part of the supports team, which meant that my group did the loading calculations in order to size, design and purchase the components (tree bolts, cables and wood) to support a 1500 lbs treehouse. This required working with the another group that was building the platform that rested upon our supports in order to ensure a clean interface. After purchasing the components we built the treehouse supports and platform. Other groups in the class built the ramp, walls and roof.
